Start with a concrete task
A useful starting point is a clearly scoped task, such as suggesting metadata, describing images or preparing content for editorial review. Inputs, expected results and quality criteria are defined together.
SITEFUSION / AI orchestration
SiteFusion integrates your chosen AI solutions and agents into publishing workflows. Separating the business process from the AI integration allows compatible solutions to be replaced while retaining tasks and approvals.

AI orchestration
Many publishers want to use AI. The real challenge is turning individual experiments into a reliable working process. SiteFusion integrates your chosen AI solutions and agents as workflow components, with defined inputs, a clear task and an agreed route for review and further processing. You decide which AI to use for each task. SiteFusion does not prescribe or connect a language model by default.
IN PRACTICE
A useful starting point is a clearly scoped task, such as suggesting metadata, describing images or preparing content for editorial review. Inputs, expected results and quality criteria are defined together.
SiteFusion separates the business workflow from the specific AI integration. If a new solution fulfils the agreed task with compatible inputs and outputs, its integration can replace the previous one without redesigning task order and approvals. Configuration, interface adaptation and quality testing are part of the change.
Camunda 8 supports AI agents and different model providers. Agents can use tools within modelled boundaries to fulfil their task. The capabilities and access an agent receives in your SiteFusion environment are defined during integration.
The workflow defines who reviews AI results and when they may be used further. Questions and corrections follow a defined path, integrating AI into recurring production while preserving editorial responsibility and approvals.
An image and its agreed context are passed to a selected AI service. The service returns a proposed description in the specified format; an editor reviews and approves it. When a different model is introduced later, these business steps remain. The new integration is checked against the expected response format and quality requirements.
SiteFusion does not prescribe a model provider. Selection depends on the task, data requirements and available interface. Different steps can use different AI solutions.
The business workflow can remain in place, but the new integration and model behaviour still need validation. Changes to the task, result structure or required approvals may also require a workflow change.
Technical foundation: Camunda 8 is released for SiteFusion. The agents and connectors used are agreed for your environment.
AI agents in the Camunda 8 documentationFOR YOUR IT TEAM
An agent can select tools and next steps. Integration defines permitted data access, actions and runtime limits. A single AI call and an agent selecting its own tools are different building blocks.
AI results are checked for format and suitability. Required human decisions remain part of the process. Approval refers to the reviewed content revision; changes may require another review.
EXPLORE THE CONCEPTS
From translation order to approval: a practical example explains tasks, events and exception paths, with technical detail on correlation, job workers and AI agents.
Understand BPMN in publishingYour organisation decides whether to connect an AI application and which one to use. No LLM is integrated by default. Together we define the data to be passed, the workflow steps involved and the required approvals, so your IT team can assess each chosen integration against your security and privacy requirements.
CONNECTED CAPABILITIES
